NEAR Intents is an intent-based, chain-abstracted cross chain swap protocol built on NEAR Protocol. A user expresses an intent — the result they want — and competing solvers fill it, settling across chains without manual bridging or wrapped assets.

How NEAR Intents works

  1. Intent — the user signs the outcome they want (swap asset A for asset B, cross chain).
  2. Solver competition — solvers quote and compete to fill the intent at the best price.
  3. Settlement — the winning solver settles both legs; the user receives the destination asset.

Why it matters

Chain abstraction means users get cross chain swaps with a single signature and competitive pricing, without bridging risk. NEAR Intents currently supports about 34 chains and 188 usable assets.

Frequently asked questions

What is NEAR Intents?
NEAR Intents is an intent-based, chain-abstracted cross chain swap protocol on NEAR Protocol. Instead of manually bridging, a user states the outcome they want (for example, swap an asset on one chain for an asset on another) and competing solvers settle it across chains.
Does NEAR Intents have a token?
NEAR Intents is infrastructure on NEAR Protocol; it does not issue its own separate token. Swaps settle in the assets users choose, and the NEAR token secures the underlying network.
How does NEAR Intents avoid bridges?
Solvers (professional market makers) take one side of the user's intent and settle the other side on the destination chain, so users do not interact with a traditional lock-and-mint bridge or hold wrapped assets.
Which wallets and chains does NEAR Intents support?
NEAR Intents supports many chains and assets via chain abstraction. NearStats currently observes roughly 34 supported chains and 188 usable assets in the live inventory.
