The Confidential Boundary is the public edge of Confidential Intents: every Shield (public intents → confidential treasury) and Unshield (confidential treasury → public intents) settles as an ordinary transfer on intents.near, so the crossings are independently countable even though everything inside confidential execution stays private.

How to read these numbers
Shield and Unshield are reported separately, never summed. A typical confidential swap shields value and unshields it again minutes later, so a combined "confidential volume" figure would double-count the same dollars. Near-balanced Shield and Unshield totals with a small net are the signature of active confidential trading; a sustained positive net means value is accumulating inside confidential balances.
USD values are estimated at observation time from public token prices. The treasury account is public on NearBlocks; what happens beyond it — confidential balances, swaps, and counterparties — is intentionally not visible to any explorer, including this one. Confidential Intents provide confidentiality with selective disclosure, not anonymity; the boundary legs shown here remain public by design.
Frequently asked questions
- How much value is being shielded on NEAR Intents?
- Over the last 24 hours, $943.4K moved into confidential execution across 362 Shield transfers, while $991.9K unshielded back to public intents. This page tracks both directions live.
- What is the NEAR Intents Confidential Treasury?
- A public NEAR account inside intents.near's token ledger that holds the assets backing all confidential balances. Every Shield deposits into it and every Unshield pays out of it, which is what makes boundary activity independently measurable.
- Is shielded volume the same as private trading volume?
- No. Shield/Unshield flows measure value crossing the public boundary. Swaps inside confidential execution are not publicly visible, and a single confidential swap typically produces both a Shield and an Unshield — which is why the two directions are never summed here.
- Why do Shield and Unshield totals track each other so closely?
- Because most confidential activity is round-trip swaps: value shields in, trades privately, and unshields out shortly after. The interesting signal is the net difference and how it trends, which this page charts daily.
